The Haas F1 Team and Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN officially presented their 2020 F1 cars, the VF-20 and C39, in a Barcelona pitlane launch.

Although the Haas 2020 challenger – the VF-20 – has already been shown to the public though pictures and even though a shakedown, the American F1 outfit had an official launch on Wednesday at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona.

The 2020 F1 car’s livery features a 2018-esque color scheme with a light grey, red, and white However, unlike in 2018, the livery has a black base color, which it retains from its 2019 Rich Energy-based scheme.

The Haas car itself bears a resemblance to the 2019 Ferrari, with a triangular airbox, and a very similar front wing to that of the Italian F1 car from last year as it naturally runs on their engine. The car will be driven by Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.

Meanwhile, just 15 minutes after Haas official launch, Alfa Romeo have done the same thing by unveiling the C39. This somewhat rounds off the grid, as nine F1 teams showcased its new challenger officially while Renault was only through shakedown.

The Swiss-Italian F1 team already did a shakedown of the car on Valentine’s day, however, the car was covered in a snake skin-themed testing livery. The color scheme is similar to that of previous years, as Alfa are sticking to a red and white car.

There is more of red though with Huski Chocolate and the ORLEN sponsorship and no blue stripes. The team had Robert Kubica and Tatiana Calderon to unveil, with the latter confirmed as a test driver, alongside regulars Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi.
