Scuderia Ferrari has revealed SF 1000 in a special launch at Romolo Valli Theatre in Italy ahead of the 2020 F1 season.

The 2020 car was revealed at one of Italy’s most iconic venues, the Romolo Valli Municipal Theatre, and it features an equally iconic red paint scheme, which has become synonymous with Ferrari race cars including F1 and also road cars.

The setting at the theatre was quite old-school as it featured live music along with all the personalities of Ferrari team as well as the manufacturer. Behind the wheel of the new creation will be Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel as they have named it SF 1000.

Ferrari revealed its new race suits which had black added to it with the car livery largely remaining the same under the matte guise. Despite the troubles in 2019, Mission Winnow also remains on the livery – although, it has to be seen if they change it or not.

With the 2020 F1 car, Ferrari wishes to make up for their lost title in 2019 – something which they looked likely to win or at least challenge in winter testing last year but lost after Mercedes dominated the first half of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the season pans out for Ferrari as mixed reports have come in the winter about the new car. The driver dynamic will be one to watch as well with Leclerc having got a secured contract and Vettel looking to finalise his future.
