Sebastian Vettel has been the quickest during the morning practice at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in the first hours of official Formula 1 testing.

The morning started with some problems for Fernando Alonso (McLaren-Honda) and Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull-TAG). The Spaniard suffered an oil  system issue, while the Australian had to stop the car due to a sensor problem, and only completed four laps; Alonso just one.

On the top of the timesheets, Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes AMG) lead most of the morning session ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) who finally finished as the quickest with a lap time of 1:22.791 and 62 laps.

Behind the leaders the Force India of Sergio Pérez finished third, ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams) and Carlos Sainz (Toro Rosso). Nico Hulkenberg made his official debut with Renault finishing sixth, ahead Magnussen who debuted with Haas.
