MotoGP British GP race has been delayed due to track conditions. Race was scheduled at 12:30 but the track conditions were stated as unsafe. At the moment there is no official time to restart the activity in Silverstone. Rain has not stopped, it has increased intensively.
An official update said that “racing can only take place today under safe conditions. There is no option to hold the British GP tomorrow”.
Everyone in the paddock is waiting for racing. Not only MotoGP has delayed his race, also Moto2 and Moto3 are in the same situation.
The last update say it will be a new track safety evaluation at 15:00 local time – subject to weather forecast for a 16:00 race start for MotoGP.
At 16:00 Race Direction has said “due to the nature of the track surface, it is unlikely that it is impossible to race until the rain has stopped. If rain has stopped by the latest 16.00 Local Time, all three races will go ahead starting with Moto GP, with races being completed by 19.30pm”.
