UNI-Virtuosi Racing’s Jack Doohan was fastest to end FIA F2 test in Abu Dhabi from MP Motorsport’s Felipe Drugovich and Campos’ Ralph Boschung.

The three-day F2 test ended in Abu Dhabi with UNI-Virtuosi Racing’s Doohan fastest with a 1m36.110s lap in the morning session, as he led MP Motorsport’s Drugovich (1m36.139s) – as the two completed a hat-trick of Top 3 finishes in the three days of running.

Campos’ Boschung joined them in third with a 1m36.203s lap with Carlin’s Liam Lawson fourth from teammate Logan Sargeant and ART’s Theo Pourchaire. Having ended up in the Top 5 in the first two days, Prema’s Jehan Daruvala was only seventh on Day 3.

The Indian was the first to have his best time in the afternoon session whereas rest of the six did so in the morning hours. DAMS’ Roy Nissany followed Daruvala in eighth, with Hitech GP’s Marcus Armstrong and Prema’s Dennis Hauger rounding the Top 10.

The day started well with no red flags to disrupt the action in the morning hours. There were multiple stoppages in the afternoon running with ART’s Frederik Vesti and Boschung causing red flags along with oil spill moment in the pitlane.

The final day of F2 running saw the debut of ESports gamer turned track racer Cem Bolukbasi, who is eyeing a seat with Van Amersfoort Racing. The Turkish racer has compete in the Euroformula Open and is aiming to graduate directly to Formula 2. He replaced Amaury Cordeel in the car alongside Jake Hughes and completed nearly 50 laps.
