The organisers of F1 Vietnam GP has shared 3D animated pictures of the upcoming street circuit, which Ross Brawn defines as a vision of the sport for the future.
The F1 Vietnam GP is slated for a April 2020 slot at a brand new 5.565 kilometres street circuit in Hanoi near the My Dinh National Stadium, which is a multi-year deal. The work at the circuit started in March earlier this year after FIA President Jean Todt’s visit.
The organisers are expected to complete the construction by March 2020 which will be in time for the April start. The tickets for the grand prix is already on sale on the F1 website, as the organisers shared some 3D images of the new racetrack.
The 22-turn street circuit is being designed by F1’s well-known designer Hermann Tilke. With Vietnam coming in, it will be the fourth street circuit on the 2020 calendar after Singapore, Monaco and Azerbaijan – sixth if we count Australia and Canada.
In the recent note about the 2021 regulation changes, F1 head Brawn indicated that the Vietnam circuit fits to what the sport is looking in future. The statement from F1 which quoted Brawn on the circuit stated:
“Along with the cars, the type of circuits that Formula 1 races at will also be analysed, with the new race in Vietnam set to be a first test of “a new philosophy of where we should take Formula 1′.”
