F1 held its New York premiere of the upcoming movie attended by majority of drivers and team bosses, with the actors and producers in the house too.
Having attended their own private screening last month ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, with several drivers praising the film, a number of the current grid found time to travel to New York on Monday for the big event. The film stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver who makes a comeback to partner rookie team mate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) at the fictional APXGP team. Set for release internationally on June 25 and a North America launch on June 27, F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt and seven-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
Drivers who missed: Max Verstappen, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll and Oscar Piastri.
Team reps who missed: Andrea Stella/Zak Brown, Flavio Briatore.
