The Danish Christian Rasmussen reunites with Era Motorsport this weekend at the Battle on the Bricks race, which will take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Rasmussen, 26, will share the wheel of the number 18 Oreca 07 Gibson in the LMP2 category with Nick Boulle, who has already been confirmed previously.

Rasmussen brings his winning prestige to the team, after achieving victory in the LMP2 category at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2024. The last competition for the Danish driver in a prototype was during the Rolex 24 with AO Racing last January.

«I am excited to return with my friends at Era,» Rasmussen said. «I have very good memories with this team, especially winning the Rolex 24 together. I also look forward to working with Nick. I think we have a strong lineup and I am sure we can fight at the front.»

For his part, Boulle valued his return to competition with prototypes after a break of nearly a year. «I have been out of an LMP2 car for a year, so it might take me a little while to get back into the rhythm, but I am very excited about the challenge. Kyle Tilley is preparing a great car and the team has shown it can perform well in the past, so this was an opportunity we could not pass up. The fact that all this coincided with the Indianapolis circuit could not have been better.

The Rasmussen-Boulle pair will form an exclusive lineup for this two-hour and 40-minute race. For the season finale at the Motul Petit Le Mans, the team will bring back its usual trio of the Michelin Endurance Cup: Ferdinand Habsburg, Jacob Abel, and Naveen Rao, who will return to the number 18 car.
