Christian Rasmussen returns to join forces with Era Motorsport for the upcoming IMSA competition at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, known as Battle on the Bricks. The Danish driver, who has completed his second season in IndyCar with Ed Carpenter Racing, will co-drive the number 18 vehicle, an Oreca 07 Gibson, in the LMP2 category.

At just 26 years old, Rasmussen brings undeniable winning experience, having been key in Era’s victory in the LMP2 category during the 2024 Rolex 24 at Daytona. He has been a regular driver with the team for two seasons, and his last performance in prototypes was at the same Rolex 24 last January with AO Racing.

Rasmussen has expressed his excitement about returning with the team, stating that he has very fond memories with Era Motorsport, especially for the victory in the Rolex 24. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of working with Nick Boulle, who is his racing partner for this event. ‘I am sure we will have a competitive line-up and will be able to fight for the front positions,’ he added.

For his part, Nick Boulle will return to drive a prototype after a year without competing in LMP2. The driver has expressed his enthusiasm for this challenge and emphasized the quality of the vehicle prepared by Kyle Tilley and the team. The Rasmussen-Boulle line-up is exclusively for this two-hour and forty-minute race at Brickyard.

Other team members, such as Ferdinand Habsburg, Jacob Abel, and Naveen Rao, will again be part of the regular line-up of the number 18 vehicle for the IMSA season finale, the Motul Petit Le Mans, which will take place at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta next month.
