Unstoppable the duo Loeb – Elena that get their third stage victory on his debut in the Dakar. He has been followed by his team-mates Carlos Sainz and Stéphane Peterhansel
Second part of the marathon stage . Jujuy to Uyuni the drivers fell to Bolivia and for the first time in the history of the Dakar, the rally was to be made to the 4,600 meters of altitude. 642 km of stage of which 321 were of special link due to the storms has been advance the goal about 7 km. First stage also, where the navigation took importance in the last kilometers of the special.
Stéphane Peterhansel opened the track and followed at 3 and 6 minutes respectively, Carlos Sainz and Sébastien Loeb, his team-mates. In the WP4, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Mini) seemed the only driver to battle the Peugeot’s. The Qatar driver ran in third position surrounded by four Peugeot. Ahead of Loeb and Sainz and still haunted him Peterhansel and Despres.
Finally Loeb has won the stage victory followed by Carlos Sainz to 22 seconds and Stéphane Peterhansel to 3 minutes, completing a 100% Peugeot podium . Nasser Al-Attiyah has finished in 4th position to 3’07” behind Loeb followed by the Toyota of Poulter and the Mini from Hirvonen. Robby Gordon has completed a good marathon stage and has arrived in 7th position to 9′ of Loeb. The Catalan Nani Roma arrived in 11th position to 10′ of the leader.
The general classification continue to dominate the Peugeot of Loeb, Peterhansel and Sainz in the first 3 positions. Followed very close by the first Mini of Nasser Al-Attiyah.
