The Moto 2 rider launches a crowfunding platform with the objective of raising 170,000 euros and being able to participate in the next World Motorcycling Championship.

“Run with me” is the motto that Dominique Aegerter has chosen for his campaign to collect money. It may seem strange that a pilot running in a category like Moto 2 launches a crowfunding campaign in which he wants to get about 170,000 euros to finance part of the season.

The director and owner of Kiefer Racing, Stefan Kiefer, died last October during the Grand Prix of Malaysia and since then, the problem of obtaining economic resources has been increasing. The team confirmed that they will be in the next championship, but only with one motorcycle, which will be taken by Dominique Aegerter.

But despite the fact they will be running next season, the team needs more resources to ensure the movement of the staff to the circuits, spare parts for accidents, wind tunnel tests, logistics to go from one circuit to another and to be able to develop and maintain a level according to the category.

That is why Aegerter has launched with the campaign: “Switzerland has an incredible tradition in motorcycle racing and I want, with the help of Swiss sports fans, to continue this story. I’m ready to give everything The support of my fans means a lot to me and it motivates me even more to improve“, said the pilot.

Donations have their reward as Aegerter promise to send a selfie to those who contribute the smallest amount, which is 20 francs and prizes such as his Honda Type R who handle the highest amount that is 35,000 Swiss francs. It will also give other gifts such as VIP experiences to Great Prizes, training sessions or dinners with the pilot and technical material of the pilot. The platform will be open 50 days from January 24.
