Nico Rosberg dominated the first session in Singapore, followed by his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton and Ricciardo’s Red Bull.
The night was falling in Singapore while the Mercedes were on top ahead of the Ferraris and Ricciardo. The drivers weren’t very active on track and there hasn’t been much change in positions. Ricciardo went ahead of the Ferraris, while his teammate Kvyat had several problems in his car which left him in 17th position. The McLaren drivers could feel the improvement in their car, as they managed to stay very close to the top 10.
Alexander Rossi, who will make his debut this weekend, crashed 3 minutes before the session was over.
Finally, Rosberg finished on top ahead of Hamilton, Ricciardo, Vettel, Raikkonen, Bottas, Verstappen, Hülkenberg, Sainz and Maldonado.
