Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo and AlphaTauri’s Daniil Kvyat are latest F1 drivers to update about their whereabouts during the coronavirus pandemic.

With the 2020 F1 season off to a strange start due to the coronavirus pandemic running havoc around the globe, there hasn’t been much for the teams and drivers to do at this juncture – mostly for the latter as all they can do is only training.

The teams, though, can still work on their future but the F1 and the FIA decided to bring forward the summer shutdown which will limit their daily working. Looking the drivers, by and large, most have been updating about their whereabouts in the off days.

Renault’s Ricciardo has noted that he is spending his time in a farm area in Perth, Australia, away from the city’s hustle and bustle and mostly away from the virus reach – potentially. The French F1 outfit ran an Instagram Live session with the Australian driver.

Even the connection went on and off a couple of times, but Ricciardo was at his usual self even though they were ‘intruded’ by McLaren’s Lando Norris. It was all fun and jokes as the Australian talked about his training regime to keep himself healthy.

Like everyone else, he is waiting for the F1 season to get back as he talked about the disappointment of Monaco GP’s cancellation. They talked about Netflix programmes and music along with the important discussion of toilet paper and food stocking.

Ricciardo also discussed watching sheep shearing, something he had never seen, while added on getting the adrenaline rush from the small field off-road drive. The live chat was popular with multiple F1 teams joining in to speak up and say ‘hi’.

The feed ended with Ricciardo jumping into the pool after multiple requests – including that from the F1 social media. Since it was on Instagram Live, the feed is only going to last for 24 hours and mostly 12 hours have gone from that.

On the other hand, AlphaTauri’s Kvyat noted that he is in Monaco, spending most of time inside as restrictions is not allowing anyone to venture out, where even training outdoors is now being limited as the virus outbreak increases in Europe.
