Finally there has been the first standing start in history after the failed attempt of the first race. On pole Dixon and he kept the lead to be the real leader of long race duration. Scott Dixon has been clearly superior in the streets of Toronto. The start was clean without any touch like most of the race, only in the last laps with the apparitions of the yellow flags made compacting the group and the fights between drivers started.

Until that time was based on a tactical race where the top positions in the top 5 not move Dixon, Castroneves, Power, Reay and Bourdais, pilots for the outside of the top five were battling each other. Tony Kanaan was forced to abandon after a touch against the wall, the second race in Toronto began badly for the Brazilian and having to change their strategy very soon from the start.
Positions remained until Jakes accident, against the wall that made the yellow flag appear, on the relaunched Dixon maintained his position while Bourdais Power and engaged themselves in a fight for the position. Noiseless Carpenter  in yesterday and today in races won two great results today with the second position throughout the race and championship leader will still do even though Dixon is getting closer.
Carpenter caused another caution with 5 laps to go hitting the wall and relaunch the race with two laps to go. Dixon maintained the first position, with Carpenter second but with a very strong fight with Bourdais. Power in the first corner was touched slightly with the group and he was hooked with Reay what was to retire both of them and see another caution. Power has given up two runs in Toronto being on the podium in the last lap.
Finally deserved victory for Dixon with Bourdais Castroneves second and third, next race in 15 days on the road course at Mid Ohio 200
