After these first exciting and Indycar races before racing in Indianapolis (circuit and oval) Indycar season arrived to Birmingham, Alabama. 90 laps on the road course of Barber Motorsport Park 2.4 mile, 16-turn clockwise. Will Power has established itself as the strongest driver this year and already has a notable advantage thanks to its good results which makes him the best favorite for the title. This year seems to be his season, so far no driver is being able to keep up same pace to him, will see his performance in oval circuits, however he is consecrated during years the best driver in road circuits in Indycar
A qualifying session where the most favorite driver was Reay, however he was fastest in previous sessions. To highlight the important role that Juan Pablo Montoya has made a upgrade of qualifying for the fight for pole. Finally, the Colombian driver has brought the most experience on road courses and adapting himself to the series and was eighth. Other favorites for the title Newgarden and especially Indycar champions Scott Dixon and Helio Castroneves runner completed ranking from fourth to sixth, three tenths separated from the pole on a circuit best lap of 1.08.3
