Les pilotes ont été au limite en s’approchant aux murs. Palmer a été le plus rapide suivi par Nasr, les deux pilotes chez Carlin. Après eux a fini Leimer, le pilote en tête du Championat.
Bird a eu des nouveaux problèmes avec Cecotto, qui l’a derangé en piste. Il a été finalement 10e et Cecotto 14e, mais il faut voir si les commissaires vont le pénaliser.
Canamasas a pu améliorer son temps et a fini 7e, suivi par Calado, Ericsson, Bird et Coletti.
La séance a été arrête pendant quelques minutes à cause d’un accident du débutant Raimondo.
