Pietro Fittipaldi will has his second chance of the 2019 season in a Rich Energy Haas F1 Team car in the Bahrain in-season test.

Fittipaldi joined the Haas team at the end of the 2018 F1 season where he got his first opportunity in the post-2018 Pirelli tyre test at Yas Marina Circuit. In the winter, he continued to work in the simulator at Dallara and Maranello.

The Brazilian got his first taste of the 2019 VF-19 car in the Barcelona pre-season F1 test alongside the regular drivers Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen. With the first in-season test around the corner, he gets another go in the car.

Ahead of this weekend’s Bahrain GP, the team has announced that Grosjean will drive the car on Tuesday, April 2 while Fittipaldi will take over on Wednesday, April 3 in the first of the two-day in-season test of the 2019 F1 season.

Haas becomes the second team to confirm its full line-up with Ferrari announcing Mick Schumacher (Day 1) and Sebastian Vettel (Day 2) as their drivers for the test, while Alfa Romeo Racing so far naming Schumacher for Day 2 run.

The test will see an additional car being run by Toro Rosso and McLaren as they will undertake a slick compound test for Pirelli with the Italian manufacturer already starting its work to prepare the 2020 F1 tyres – this is first of the six tests lined-up in 2019.
