The MotoGP rider, Toprak Razgatlioglu, faces a complicated situation following an accident during the Indonesia Grand Prix weekend. The Pramac Racing rider will undergo an MRI on his right shoulder to determine if he needs surgery.

The incident occurred during the last practice session in Mandalika, where a violent crash caused his shoulder to dislocate. Surprisingly, Razgatlioglu managed to reset the bone and participated in the subsequent sessions, achieving 19th place in both qualifying and the sprint race.

However, the condition of his shoulder worsened during the Grand Prix race, forcing him to retire after eight laps. Razgatlioglu admitted that despite being able to withdraw, he chose to continue competing in an attempt to overcome the pain. ‘My biggest problem was my shoulder, not the bike,’ he stated.

The rider expressed that on the morning of the race, he experienced an increase in pain, which affected his ability to control the bike. ‘Every lap became more difficult, especially in the right turns, where I didn’t have enough strength,’ he commented.

After the race, Razgatlioglu revealed his frustration with how the weekend turned out, offering a promising initial performance but with an unfortunate outcome. Now, the rider will travel home, where his shoulder will be examined to determine the next steps, hoping that he only needs rest to recover.

‘I hope to come back stronger for the next race,’ added Razgatlioglu, with the hope that doctors can provide a favorable diagnosis. What seemed like a great racing weekend has ended up being a significant challenge for the Turkish rider.
