Bogotá, April 8, 2026 – Colombian driver Tatiana Calderón will compete in the 2026 NASCAR Brasil Series season with Team SG28, marking the creation of one of the most significant all-female driver pairings in Latin American motorsport history.
Calderón, who has driven Formula 1 machinery and competed in Formula 2, IndyCar, and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), among others will team up with Brazilian driver Bruna Tomaselli in a 100% female lineup—an unprecedented milestone in the NASCAR Brasil Series.
The 2026 campaign will also mark Calderón’s first time racing in Brazil and her debut in a NASCAR-style car. For the Colombian, the move represents a new chapter in her career and an opportunity to bring female presence to a rapidly growing championship.
Tatiana Calderón:
¨I’m very proud to join the NASCAR Brasil championship with Team SG28. I strongly believe in this project and its vision, and it’s an honor to represent Colombia and women in such a competitive series. Racing alongside Bruna makes this even more meaningful. Brazil has welcomed me incredibly well, and while I’m still working on my ‘Portuñol,’ I can already feel the country’s passion for motorsport. This will be a new experience for both of us, but I’m confident we’ll grow together and keep improving every time we hit the track.”
ABOUT NASCAR BRASIL
The NASCAR Brasil Series is NASCAR’s official championship in South America and one of its four international properties, alongside series in Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Founded in 2012 as Sprint Race, it has operated under official NASCAR sanctioning since 2023 and has become one of Brazil’s fastest-growing racing categories.
In 2026, the series introduces the RiSE26, a next-generation race car inspired by NASCAR’s U.S. NextGen platform. The car features a carbon fiber body, a 360-horsepower NB-26 V6 engine powered by 100% ethanol, a six-speed sequential gearbox, and Pirelli tires developed specifically for the series. Chevrolet and Ford are the official manufacturers.
The 2026 season will feature nine events across Brazil, with three races per weekend. For the first time, the championship will include a playoff system, with the top 12 drivers advancing to a knockout-style title fight.
Races will be broadcast live on RedeTV, ESPN/Disney, and streamed free on the official NASCAR Brasil YouTube channel.
