Red Bull has teamed up with F1 Authentics to auction a simulator signed by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez using the Las Vegas livery.

Oracle Red Bull Racing is pairing up with F1 Authentics, owned by Memento Exclusives, to host one of their largest charity auctions yet. The auction was formally announced, and launched, on 13 December at Oracle Red Bull Racing’s charity event ‘An Evening With’ which was held on the Technology Campus to raise funds for the Team’s partner charity, Wings for Life.

The auction will be live from 12pm today and is being hosted on the F1 Authentics online platform. The limited-edition Simulator bears the special Las Vegas Grand Prix livery that was embraced by the Team during the penultimate race weekend of its record-breaking season. To make this piece of sports memorabilia even more unique, this one-off edition has been signed by three-time World Champion Max Verstappen, as well Sergio Pérez and Christian Horner, live at Wednesday night’s event.

Wings for Life was founded in 2004 by the late Red Bull Co-Founder, Dietrich Mateschitz, and two-time Motocross World Champion, Heinz Kinigadner, and funds global research projects and clinical trials with one sole aim: to find a cure for spinal cord injury.

Memento Exclusives launched the first ever official replica Formula One Simulator project in early 2023, in partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing. Each sim is built using the official CAD data from the Team and recreates the front half of the RB18 (2022), complete with high end gaming hardware for the ultimate racing experience.

By creating this one-off simulator and putting it to auction, Oracle Red Bull Racing and F1 Authentics hope to make a significant contribution to the Wings for Life charity where 100% of donated funds are used for spinal cord research.

Barry Gough, CEO & Founder of Memento Exclusives and F1 Authentics commented: “We’re delighted to be supporting Wings for Life again with our friends at Oracle Red Bull Racing, with the auction of this unique F1 Simulator. Showcasing the special Las Vegas livery, this one-off Sim, signed by the drivers and Christian Horner, marks one of our most prestigious lots we’ve hosted on F1 Authentics. And we’re expecting a lot of bids for this end of season, celebratory auction, so not only will it help raise money for the charity, but it will support in raising awareness of the incredible work they do.”

Christian Horner, Team Principal and CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing said: “We are incredibly proud to support our partner charity, Wings for Life, with the auctioning of this one-off, state of the art, Vegas livery simulator that both Max, Checo, and I have signed. It’s been a monumental year for us at Oracle Red Bull Racing and so it is fitting to work with F1 Authentics on a charity auction that not only nods to a successful and exciting race for us, but also contributes to ongoing research into a cure for spinal cord injury.”

Emma Hind, CEO of Wings for Life UK commented: “Wings for Life are absolutely delighted to be partnering with F1 Authentics on this iconic and exclusive Las Vegas livery simulator! I want to thank both Oracle Red Bull Racing and F1 Authentics for all their support over the last year, we’ve been so lucky to work together on some amazing auction packages. We can’t wait to see the result of the auction and wrap up an incredible 2023 for Wings for Life. The money raised will help raise vital funds for pioneering research projects in finding a cure for spinal cord injury.”

The auction opens at 12:00:00 GMT on 15th December and will close at 16:00:00 GMT on 28th December.
