The Spanish rider Raul Fernandez will continue with Trackhouse during the MotoGP seasons of 2027 and 2028. This renewal comes after a long negotiation process that lasted almost half a year, during which both parties finally reached an agreement.
The length of the contract was a point of friction during discussions, as Fernandez requested a two-year deal, while the team preferred a more flexible solution. Trackhouse owner Marks expressed his satisfaction: ‘We are delighted to announce that Raul will stay with us. Fernandez made the jump to MotoGP in 2022 after an impressive season in Moto2, in which he achieved eight victories and twelve podiums, although he lost the title to his teammate, Remy Gardner. At the age of 21, he was promoted to MotoGP with Tech3 but faced a challenging season. By the end of the year, he managed to break free from his contract to join Aprilia’s satellite team, RNF.
After the team’s acquisition by Trackhouse, Fernandez is completing his third season with the American organization. Last year, he secured his first victory in the premier class with a win at the Australian Grand Prix, and finished the season with a podium in Valencia. Currently, the rider from Madrid has achieved three podiums —in Thailand, Assen, and Sachsenring— and is looking for his first victory of the season.
For the 2027 season, Fernandez is expected to share the team with Enea Bastianini, who, after two difficult seasons with Tech3-KTM, has managed to break free to join the American team with the full support of the Aprilia team.
