Sergio Perez had his first show run with Red Bull this weekend ahead of F1 US GP, driving on the streets of Dallas in Texas.

Having joined Red Bull at the start of the 2021 F1 season, Perez got his first chance of driving the RB7 in a show run this weekend in Dallas, Texas. This is first of the few he will undertake, with one also scheduled for his home event in Mexico.

Red Bull shared a tour video of the USA earlier in the week and undertook the show run in Dallas’ Harwood District with Perez and Red Bull athlete and motorcycle extraordinaire Aaron Colton at his side during the event on Saturday afternoon.

This is also Red Bull’s first public show run since COVID-19 pandemic broke, which put brakes on such events. “Today was very special, I really enjoyed it,” said Perez. “It was the first-time doing donuts in the Red Bull car which was a lot of fun and it was definitely a day that none of us will forget soon.

“I always love visiting the US, I could feel the energy from the crowd and it was amazing to see the smiles on people’s faces. Thank you to all of the fans for the support today, it’s made me even more excited to race next weekend in Austin, hopefully we can make it another double podium,” summed up Perez.
