Noel Leon has achieved his first victory in Formula 2 as a driver for Campos Racing in the sprint race held in Montreal. This triumph has allowed him to position himself prominently within the championship.

Gabriele Mini, on his part, finished second and managed to take the lead in the championship standings, while Martinius Stenshorne completed the podium in third position after a penalty left his teammate, Alex Dunne, out of points.

The race started with Mini starting in first position and quickly climbed ahead of Invicta driver, Joshua Duerksen, who managed to surpass Leon and Rafael Villagomez preparing to apply pressure. Mini showed impressive pace while Duerksen and Leon engaged in an intense battle for second place until Leon secured the position on lap eight.

The fourth driver, Nikola Tsolov, was trying to find space to pass Stenshorne but contact caused the Norwegian to collide with John Bennett, who was immobilized at corner 10, forcing the safety car to be deployed for the first time.

When the race resumed, Mini maintained the lead with Leon right behind and Duerksen in third position. However, the Paraguayan driver received a five-second penalty for excessively aggressive maneuvers at the start of the race.

As the race progressed, Leon and Mini pulled ahead while Duerksen defended his position against Villagomez. The situation complicated for Duerksen, who lost positions after a mistake in the corner, and soon found himself trapped by other drivers, including Stenshorne and Tsolov.

With only five laps to go, Stenshorne attempted to overtake Villagomez for a spot on the podium, but the Spanish driver crashed into the wall, opening the door for the Norwegian to take third position. In the final moments of the race, another incident caused the deployment of a virtual safety car.

Leon executed an excellent restart, managing to extend his lead to 3.8 seconds over Mini. Dunne, who had suffered a penalty, managed to overtake Mini, but this passing was of no significance for the final classification of the race.

The race concluded with Leon in first position, followed by Mini and Stenshorne. Laurens van Hoepen laid down his cards with a fourth place, while Emerson Fittipaldi completed the top five with his best performance so far.

The next event in the championship promises to be equally exciting, with competition growing more intense among the drivers, who battle for the crown of Formula 2.
