Dutch Grand Prix, held this Sunday in Zandvoort. The British driver argued that the inefficiency of the Italian team hindered him in his battle with Charles Leclerc, who was slowing him down during the race.
After passing Oscar Piastri from McLaren, Hamilton found himself just behind Leclerc, with whom he maintained an intense battle throughout the race. Even though Hamilton finished fourth and is 59 points behind the leader, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, he acknowledged that the good performance of the Italian team in Zandvoort was not enough to close the gap with the rivals. ‘We’re still losing power and we need to improve to have a real opportunity.’ Hamilton is hopeful that the improvements introduced in the chassis will help bring about a change in the upcoming races.
