Francesco Bagnaia took the win in MotoGP Dutch GP from Marco Bezzecchi, as Aleix Espargaro takes third.

It was a storming start from Brad Binder in his KTM in MotoGP Dutch GP at Assen as he took the lead from Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia, where pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi dropped to third in his VR46 Ducati, with Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro up to fourth.

VR46’s Luca Marini was fifth from RNF Aprilia’s Miguel Oliveira, Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales, KTM’s Jack Miller, Gresini Ducati’s Alex Marquez and LCR Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami in the Top 10. Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo dropped out of Top 10 along with the Pramac Ducatis.

As Bagnaia took the lead from Binder, there were heap of crashes with multiple riders involved in a space of few laps. Miller was first to drop out, followed by Quartararo who fell and took Zarco along with him. Next up was Vinales after looking strong.

Ducati’s Enea Bastianini was next up who tried to get back but smoke bellowed from his exhaust, as a problem for Oliveira forced him to retire. Before the retirement, both were involved a big fight against Marini who lost heap of places at one go.

He was being chased by Martin and after he was passed by the Spaniard, it allowed Oliveira, Marquez, Bastianini and Nakagami to pass him. He regained three places when Oliveira and Bastianini retired, while Nakagami was handed a Long Gap Penalty.

At the front, Bagnaia couldn’t pull up a huge gap on Binder and Bezzecchi in the Top 3. Espargaro was fourth despite the damage on his bike with Martin in fifth from Marquez, Marini, Nakagami, Gresini’s Fabio di Giannantonio and Yamaha’s Franco Morbideli in Top 10.

Aprilia’s Lorenzo Savadori was 11th, with GASGAS Tech 3’s Augusto Fernandez in 12th, LCR’s Stefan Bradl 13th, RNF’s Raul Fernandez 14th and Tech 3’s Jonas Folger 15th in the points places, where anyone finishing the grand prix were to score points.

Before Bezzecchi passed Binder to take second, Honda’s Iker Lecuona was forced to retire due to suspected problem from 11th. The retirement list had another addition of di Giannantonio after a slow crash at the hairpin, leaving only 14 riders in the race.

There was a Long Gap Penalty for Marquez too but he didn’t lose any places. At the front, Bagnaia kept off to win the MotoGP race in Dutch GP from Bezzecchi, as Binder held off Espargaro and Martin for third until he lost the place again.

Much like the sprint penalty, Binder got another one after the race for the same offence at Turn 8 to drop one place to fourth allowing Espargaro to be third. Martin was fifth by 0.009s as Marquez ended up sixth from Marini with Nakagami close behind.

Morbidelli was ninth from A Fernandez, Savadori, R Fernandez, Bradl and Folger in the 14 finishers.
