Edoardo Mortara ended the third free-practice session in the lead ahead of Jamie Green and Timo Scheider. All the Audi cars made it to the top 10 of the session.
Jamie Green was the first driver to head out for the third free-practice session of the week-end. Like on Saturday, Audi drivers were leading the way with a full top 8 in the first part of the free-practice session, Edoardo Mortara leading from Miguel Molina and Green just eight minutes into the session. Marco Wittmann was the only driver to split the Audi in the lead by taking third best time just before Daniel Juncadella placed himself fourth.
Halfway through the session, Mortara was leading from Molina and Wittmann. Maximilian Götz, despite a difficult start of the week-end, found some pace to outscore Wittman before Mattias Ekström and Green went faster for P3. The top of the standings did not change much during the following ten minutes as drivers were mostly focused on long-runs.
Antonio Felix Da Costa, soon to be DTM retired, placed himself up to fourth position. Timo Scheider managed to go 0.02s faster than Mortara and claimed provisional fastest time with two minutes and a half to go. Then Jamie Green was the one who went three tenths faster to claim fastest time before Edoardo Mortara confirmed his leadership as Audi driver and claimed the fastest time overall.
Edoardo Mortara ended the session in the lead ahead of Jamie Green and Timo Scheider. Ekström, Tambay, Molina, Da Costa -first BMW-, Rockenfeller, Müller and Götz completed the top 10 with the eight Audi in the top 9.
