Marc Marquez, rider of the Ducati Team, has stated that his performance at Silverstone has been below expectations. In a free practice session, he finished seventh, more than seven tenths off the best time set by Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia.
Marquez admitted that he finds himself at a disadvantage on fast and flowing circuits, such as Silverstone, where he had previously achieved great performance. ‘My driving style exposes me in this type of layout and, while in previous years I could compensate for my weaknesses, my physical condition currently prevents it,’ he commented.

Marquez has noted that his brother Alex has also shown a good return to the track, and although he finished slightly behind him, he acknowledged that he has learned a lot from his style. Nevertheless, Marquez has expressed optimism for future sessions, with the goal of working to improve his position and get closer to the top five group. ‘I am convinced that I can do better, and that is why we will keep working,’ he concluded.
