From the words of the President of the Bahrain circuit we learn that the Sakhir track will host the Formula 1 Night in 2014. In a few days the official announcement with the details.

The Bahrain Grand Prix 2014 will take place at night. That ‘s what emerges in the last hour and that should find official confirmation in the next few days. The source of the information is first hand: to talk, in fact, is Zayed Al Zayani – Chairman of the circuit – which confirmed the changes to the circuit, talking about an announcement imminent. The track is ready to be equipped with a huge lighting system that, according to the plans, expected to be delivered before the end of February.

Al Zayani has confirmed that this has also affected the draft of the F1 calendar, 2014, because the Bahrain – having to equip you for the ride at night – could not run the risk of being unprepared for the race weekend. “We asked Bernie to not be the first GP of the year, because we are making renovations to commemorate the tenth anniversary of our presence in F1. There are many things in the pipeline, but the highlight will be the night race. ”

It is still unclear, however, whether there will be a real night race in Singapore as it happens, or if you opt for an event which will begin at sunset, as is already the case in Abu Dhabi, and ends in the spotlight. A few more days and we will know more.
