2027 will mark a new era for the NASCAR Truck Series, as FedEx Freight has committed to being the new primary sponsor, thus replacing Craftsman. The championship will be renamed NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series.
Since its founding in 1995 until the 2008 season, Craftsman was the primary sponsor. Later, the title was held by Camping World between 2009 and 2019 and subsequently by Gander Outdoors before Craftsman returned in 2023.
Craig Stimmel, NASCAR Vice President, has highlighted that “FedEx Freight’s decision to collaborate with NASCAR reflects the strength of our sport and the value it can provide to businesses. The alliance with the NASCAR Truck Series is perfect, as both parties share values of perseverance and academic competition to overcome challenges each week”.
In addition to its support as a sponsor, FedEx Freight will also take on the role of official NASCAR partner, as well as its exclusive partner in freight shipping to United States, Canada, and Mexico.
John Smith, President and CEO of FedEx Freight, mentioned that this partnership is essential to expand their brand and reaffirm the company’s commitment to safety, hard work, and reliability, aspects that have defined the company for many decades.
With the new title, FedEx Freight expects to leverage the broad reach of NASCAR to connect with a large number of customers and employees, increasing its visibility nationally and strengthening its market position.
