The Force India driver has placed himself first in the final minutes of a session that has started without rain, but with a very wet track.
The conditions were not exactly the ideal for the start of the Canadian Grand Prix. Pirelli has brought here a new specification of the tyres to be tested in practice and it seemed that it would not be possible, but in the last minutes of the session the track dried minimally and the teams have been able to make some laps with them, but not the amount enough to draw conclusions.
Neither do the results of the timetable help to draw conclusions, as the track was getting better by the last minute. It is not until the second session, if the rain does not return to make an appearance,that we will have to wait for a more constant conditions and to begin to see the performance of each team in this circuit.
There have been many off-tracks, the one to highlight is Pastor Maldonado’s crash only 3 minutes before the end of the session, He has hit with the nose of his car against a wall. It was the first to brand the new Canadian circuit protections, but knowing the history of this GP probably will not be the last or the only one.
The second practice session will start at 20:00 Spanish time.
