Nikita Bedrin has expanded his lead in the championship with a decisive victory in the second race of the GB3 season held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
The Velocity Racing Development driver converted his pole position into a clear lead from the start, leaving behind an intense battle among competitors behind him.
After a spectacular start from fourth position, Deagen Fairclough of Hitech GP tried to squeeze between Rodin Motorsport drivers Maxim Rehm and Abbi Pulling, causing Pulling to swerve to avoid a collision.
The winner of the first race, Pulling, attempted to overtake Rehm at the first corner but had to settle for third position, which she quickly lost to Fairclough and his teammate Martin Molnar during the Kemmel straight.
Bedrin opened up a one-second advantage on the first lap and continued to extend his lead, finishing the race with a margin of 6.5 seconds over the second-place finisher. Rehm, who had been penalized in the first race for a collision with Fairclough, finished second after dropping to sixth place.
Molnar soon overtook Fairclough and held his ground until the end, matching his result from the previous race with a third place. Pulling defended her position against Patricio Gonzalez of VRD during an exciting battle on the last lap for fifth position.
Jin Nakamura of Hitech crossed the finish line in seventh position, while Lucas Fluxa of Xcel Motorsport overtook Kirill Kutsov of Elite Motorsport and Lewis Gilbert of Arden, finishing in eighth place.
