Francesco Bagnaia has given his voice to Disney Pixar’s Elemental movie, as Pol Espargaro is aiming for Mugello return if possible.

Francesco Bagnaia –

Francesco Bagnaia’s talents know no bounds! The World Champion is no stranger to entertaining MotoGP fans with on track skills, but now the Italian is set to showcase his acting range with Disney and Pixar. Pecco took to social media to announce his latest adventure.

Bagnaia is making his debut as a voice actor in ‘Elemental’, the highly anticipated Disney and Pixar film set to hit theatres on June 21st. In the movie, he will lend his voice to the eponymous character Pecco, one of the residents of Element City. Interestingly enough, the Ducati rider, proudly supported on the track by his fan club, ‘Nuvola Rossa’ (red cloud), will embody a charming cloud.

“When you’re the MotoGP Red Cloud, you can’t help but lend your voice… to a cloud!” quipped Bagnaia on social media, where he shared his excitement about being part of this new project. By participating in ‘Elemental’, Bagnaia unequivocally showcases that he has rightfully become one of the prominent sporting figures in Italian sports today, and he is destined to emerge as a true icon of motorcycle racing, both for his accomplishments on the track and his contributions beyond it.

Pol Espargaro –

With just over a week until the MotoGP World Championship roars back to life at the Oakley Grand Prix of Italy, Pol Espargaro (GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3) has shared some exciting news in an interview with Spanish broadcaster TV3. He revealed that in the coming days, he will undergo a crucial medical examination that could finally give him an exact timeframe for his long-awaited comeback. “Next week, I’ll have my medical check-up, and if the doctors give me the green light, I’ll be heading to Mugello. If that’s not possible, I’ll aim to make it back for the second race (Sachsenring) or the third (Assen) of this triple-header,” he stated.

The promising news follows on from recent comments from the Spaniard on DAZN that he had been putting in an immense effort towards his recovery in order to be ready for the Italian GP. Expressing a burning desire to hop back on the bike, he shared, “I’m itching to get back on the motorcycle. It’s what gets me out of bed every day, my ultimate fuel. I’d love to return for Mugello. Seeing the KTM bikes performing well also fuels my motivation,” he exclaimed during the weekend at Le Mans.

Espargaro’s major crash during the TISSOT Grand Prix of Portugal in March inflicted a series of heavy injuries, including a double jaw fracture, ear damage, cervical fractures leading to nerve complications, two broken ribs, and three fractured vertebrae. Reflecting on his arduous road to recovery, he said: “Now, I find myself in a privileged position with very little pain, almost none. Those initial days were a fight for my life. While I wasn’t fully aware during my time in the ICU, I witnessed the suffering of those around me.”

During his conversation with DAZN, the younger Espargaro brother admitted he contemplated retirement from the sport. However, the spirit of a true rider prevailed. “The thought of quitting crossed my mind… I had plenty of time for introspection. Observing the suffering of those close to me… witnessing my wife’s distress led me to think about such a decision. But she has reassured me time and again that she met me as a rider, and it’s what brings me happiness. Seeing me happy brings her joy too.”
