The FIA has notified the changes made at Sochi Autodrom for this weekend’s F1 Russian GP along with the names of the four stewards.
With barely few days after the F1 Singapore GP, the governing body has released details of the changes made at Sochi Autodrom for this weekend’s Russian GP along with the DRS zones and the four stewards.
Among the changes, the principal is resurfacing of the track in multiple areas, which covers the exit of Turn 2, from the entry to the exit of Turn 8, from the entry to Turn 15 through to Point 16.5 and in a small section in the middle of the fast lane.
The DRS zones, meanwhile, remains the same as 2018 with the first’s detection point being 72m after Turn 18 and the activation 95m before Turn 1.
The second detection is 72m before Turn 10, with the activation 70m after the corner. In addition, the pitlane speed limit is set at 60 km/hr. The grand prix will have four new stewards and none from Singapore.
Even though Emanuele Pirro was in Singapore but the Italian will be in steward’s chair for Russian GP, with George Andreev as the national steward and Dr Gerd Ennser and Andrew Mallalieu, the other two.
