Ferrari is done with the three-day TPC run at Barcelona with involvement of four drivers, as Lewis Hamilton gets more track time.

After the one day run at Fiorano, Ferrari had three full days at Barcelona to continue with its Testing Previous Cars run and also provide Hamilton with more track time to not just learn about the F1 car but also the whole team and how they work.

It is a big task of un-learning things he learnt at Mercedes and learn the new bits at Ferrari. While Fiorano is good for driving as many laps, the Barcelona circuit provides him to test at a circuit which is currently on the F1 calendar.

Hamilton can use the reference of the races to improve his performance. The Brit and Charles Leclerc managed to run without any major dramas on Day 1 on Tuesday, but Day 2 wasn’t smooth after the seven-time champion suffered his first crash.

The reports noted about Hamilton hitting the barrier at Turn 12 during his time in the morning session. Despite attempts from Ferrari to repair the car for Leclerc to take over, the team ran out of time against the fading daylight.

They were forced to call it off on Wednesday which ended the running for both Hamilton and Leclerc. The final day on Thursday saw Antonio Giovinazzi get his first run of 2025 in the morning hours. The afternoon session saw Dino Beganovic drive the SF-23.

The Ferrari academy driver got his first run in a F1 car, who is line for FP1 sessions in 2025 as part of the rookie rule. Ferrari’s work is far from over as they are scheduled to test the 2026 compound alongside McLaren on February 4-5 at the same venue.

Both Hamilton and Leclerc are scheduled to appear in a mule car prepared for the test run. Ferrari, meanwhile, revealed the name of its 2025 F1 car to be ‘SF-25’, which goes in line with their current naming way.
