Ferrari gave a fine farewell to Carlos Sainz Jr after a special father and son F1 test run at Fiorano, in the presence of Charles Leclerc and Frederic Vasseur.
Having done with the Abu Dhabi Test and the FIA Prize Gala, Ferrari finally got time before the holidays to give a proper send-off to the Sainz family. And it was special indeed after the father and son duo got to drive the 2022 F1-75s at Fiorano on Tuesday.
It was a big day for Sainz Sr, who got a chance to drive a Ferrari F1 car alongside his son. Even though he had a spin early on, he was eventually able to complete several laps, setting some consistent lap times. His son joined him a little later in mid-day.
They did some laps in formation after which they switched to drive the 735 LM car – run by Ferrari Classiche department. It raced in the Mille Miglia and also Le Mans 24 Hours. At the end of the day, the Sainz pair called upon Leclerc and Vasseur for a group photo.
