Enough with the rumors! FormulaRapida.net can say that Pascal Wehrlein has signed an accord with Formula 1 team Manor to make his debuts in 2016.

FORMULARAPIDA.NET can say that Pascal Wehrlein has signed an accord with the Formula 1 team Manor Racing. The German driver, young driver of Mercedes, benefits from the support of the silver arrows team which will provide its engine to Manor as well as 4 millions of euros.

Wehrlein is the 2015 DTM champion with Mercedes-Benz where he scored two victories and climbed five times on the podium. Therefore, he is the youngest champion of the category at 21-year-old. As well, in 2014, he also established the record of the youngest winner of the category at 20-year-old.

Let’s remind that Wehrlein started his collaboration with Mercedes in the middle of 2013 when the German brand made him debut in DTM without any preseason testing. It led him to give up on the European Formula 3 championship he was racing in at the time. 2013 was difficult, but also necessary to lead him to his first victory at Lausiztring in late 2014.

It allowed him to make his debuts in Formula 1 as reserve driver for Mercedes and Force India and now with the DTM championship in his pockets and after an intense winter, Pascal Wehrlein is able to make his debuts as a titular.

Manor still has to confirm who will be his team mate next year. With Oliver Rowland out of the deal and Wehrlein’s confirmation, there are only Alexander Rossi and Will Stevens left for the seat, but according to the rumors, Rio Haryanto is also a serious candidate for the seat.
