The Mercedes British driver Lewis Hamilton has achieved pole in Sepang after beating Vettel and his teammate Nico Rosberg in a wet conditions.
1st. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes AMG Petronas): “It was very difficult to ride; I knew I had to Hulkenberg behind but I could not see, could not see anything in the rear-view mirror.” He also thanked his mechanics work: “Throughout the weekend have been amazing, but now they have made a perfect job”
2nd Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull-Renault): “It is a good result, after Australia, we have done a good job for the weekend” Vettel regrets an error he has committed. “During my lap I had a little mistake, I could have done better back but I’m sure that if it had been, Lewis had also exceeded my return.”
3rd Nico Rosberg (Mercedes AMG Petronas): “I’m happy with the performance we have had with the intermediate, we had a great pace, but when we had to mount the tires Full-Wet, we have suffered much, was not a good feeling and we lost pace.”
