Following today’s sprint race at Sochi Autodrom, Raffaele Marciello and Takuya Izawa have received penalties.
First of all, the ART Grand Prix driver Izawa was found guilty of speeding in the pit lane after he came in during the safety car period. He was therefore handed a drive through after the race was completed. Twenty seconds have been added to the elapsed race time. He is now classified P22.
Moreover, the Italian driver from Racing Engineering has been found guilty of causing a collision with Jolyon Palmer on lap 1 at Turn 2. Marciello will lose five grid positions in Yas Marina feature race next month.
