Jorge Lorenzo finished the warm up session in first place. The poleman Marc Marquez was second, following the Yamaha rider closely.
Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo was on top in the last practice session previous to the Spanish Grand Prix race. The Spaniard will start the GP from second place on the gird, with the championship leader Marc Marquez starting from pole position.
All the riders were on track to take advantage of the 20 minutes of the session in the beginning. Marquez entered the pit lane early in the practice in order to make changes in his Honda machine. Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi set the fastest lap, followed by Lorenzo and Pol Espargaro. Lorenzo took the lead in the next lap and Andrea Dovizioso went third just before being relegated by Stefan Bradl.
Lorenzo keept improving his own times when Marquez jumped to second place. His teammate Dani Pedrosa was fifth with eight minutes to go. When the chequered flag waved, Lorenzo was first, with Marquez second and Rossi third. Bradl and Pedrosa completed the top 5.
