F1 fans have voted the rain-soaked German GP as the best race of the 2019 season ahead of an equally thrilling Brazil GP.
Even though the 2019 F1 season was dominated by Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton as they secured the respective championships before the grand finale, there were still races which stood out for its unpredictability, drama factor, crazy fights and more.
The weather conditions during the German GP were quite challenging, even for the F1 TV crews where one of their vans got burned due to lightning. It didn’t affect their programme as Hockenheim then witnessed a crazy two hours on Sunday, where many faltered.
The winner wasn’t certain until the final few laps as Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen took the top spot from Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat, when the likes of Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas faced troubles.
Over 13,000 fans chose German GP as the clear winner with 23 percent of votes in its favour ahead of Brazil GP, which gathered 13 percent votes as per F1 website. The race at Interlagos was no less of a drama, where Red Bull’s Verstappen reign supreme, once again.
The Dutchman came out on top after pushing through Hamilton twice in the F1 grand prix as late drama saw Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly move to second and McLaren’s Carlos Sainz made it in the Top 3 as well, after a penalty to the Mercedes racer.
There was a tie for third place as Austrian GP and Italian GP got three percent of votes in favour, where the former had Red Bull’s Verstappen on the top step again while the latter saw Ferrari’s new star Leclerc register a solid win in front of the team’s home crowd.
The race in Red Bull Ring was no less of dramas where Verstappen barged through Leclerc on alternative strategy to victory as Mercedes’ Bottas rounded out the podium. At the same time, Leclerc dominated in Monza ahead of Mercedes’ Bottas and Hamilton.
The Top 5 was rounded out by British GP – which as per the F1 data received the most number of fans in 2019 – with two percent votes, where home hero Hamilton led a Mercedes 1-2 from Bottas as Ferrari’s Leclerc rounded out the Top 3.
