El tres veces campeón de F1, Niki Lauda, ha dejado un gran legado en el mundo del automovilismo, que se ha unido para rendir un homenaje por su muerte.
El martes empezó con una nota triste para la F1 y sobre todo para los amantes del motor, con la noticia del fallecimiento de Lauda, quien no pudo ganar su batalla final después del trasplante de pulmón que sufrió el año pasado. He muerto a la edad de 70 años con tres títulos de F1 a su nombre.
Los médicos y las personas cercanas a él no han detallado sus últimos días, pero todos hablaron sobre el empeoramiento de su salud, donde comenzó a aclararse que sería difícil para Lauda regresar a una vida normal, y seguir en las pistas de la F1.
Él había estado dentro y fuera del hospital varias veces durante todo este tiempo, con su familia y amigos que lo visitaban. Si bien fue una noticia impactante la de su muerte el lunes 20 de mayo de 2019, pero no muy sorprendente, dado su estado después del trasplante de pulmón.
Desde su fallecimiento, todo el mundo del motor se unió para llorar su muerte, tanto en MotoGP, como Fórmula E, DTM… compartiendo mensajes de pilotos, equipos y muchos más en honor a su grandiosa trayectoria, tanto dentro como fuera de las pistas.
