This week WSK Promotion unveils all the details of 2019 race program with important news about calendar, categories, format, tires and other technical aspects.
The 2019 racing calendar of WSK Promotion has been defined with its 12 International Karting rounds. The program features three series having from two to four rounds, two single-race events and a winter testing session that will cover the whole solar year from January to November.
Entitled categories are the usual 60 Mini, OK, OK Junior and KZ2, that will alternate with each other throughout the season: KZ2 will be present at 6 of 12 events, while the other 6 events will have a new racing program. The events with all the four classes on track will keep the usual format with Prefinals and Finals for all categories, while those events without KZ2 will see 60 Mini and OK Junior running one Final B each, open to all the drivers that could not qualify for the Final in Prefinal.
Another novelty for next year will be the summer overnight race at the Adria Karting Raceway that will close the four rounds of the WSK Euro Series on June 30th. Finally, the round that was going to be played at the Aragonese circuit of Zuera falls off the calendar. Next season there will also be no WSK at the German circuit of Wackersdorf and the only round out of Italian territory will be in Angerville (France). This is the complete calendar:
New technical regulations have also been devised. 60 Mini and OK Junior will fit Vega tyres, the latter will have an Option compound; OK and KZ2 will employ Bridgestone Prime tyres instead, while fuel provisioning will be done by Panta. 60 Mini will also adopt a unique silencer to achieve a better control of the category. The fitted unit will be made by Elto and marked by WSK. The producer will make it available starting from January 15th at the price of Euros 80,00.
