Some news for the second race in Toronto after yesterday´s amazing race:
In this warmup the fastest driver was Castroneves followed by Dixon who has shown intractable in this circuit both of them followed by Franchitti and Power. The Ganassi and Penske cars are still the fastest in this type of circuit. Time to drive for all drivers to improve the setup. It is expected a bigger fight today in the race, the show in Toronto is assured.
Several news have arrived on the front during the last hours:
- Participants were allowed to test during warmup standing start and it has been decided after yesterday’s failed attempt to use the standing start for the second race
- Upon an appeal Franchitti team have provided the evidence needed to restore the podium his third place taking away the punishment of 25 seconds.
- Briscoe, yesterday on lap 64, had an accident and he has been injured by a break in a bone in his right wrist, so the team Panther Racing National Guard has decided to replace him with the driver Munoz, young rokkie who has had a great Indy500 result in, being 2nd in his first participation in the Indycar Series
Dixon has the pole for today´s race, the race that is going to start in few hours at 9:00 p.m.
