The first teaser of Brad Pitt-led movie titled ‘F1’ has been released just ahead of the British GP, as Lewis Hamilton adds his thoughts.

The title of the Pitt-led movie was revealed simply as ‘F1’ on the eve of the British GP at Silverstone with the first teaser eventually unveiled just ahead of the grand prix broadcast. The movie will release on June 27 of 2025 in North America on June 27.

The international release will happen two days before on June 25. Filming continues on in Silverstone this weekend at the British GP and it is slated to take place in Hungary, Spa Francorchamps, Mexico, Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi.

Here’s the basic information on the F1 movie –

Movie Title: F1

Release Date: Distributed in theatres around the world and in IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on 25 June 2025, and in North America on 27 June 2025.

Plot: The movie will see Brad Pitt star as a former driver, Sonny Hayes, who returns to Formula 1 alongside rookie team-mate Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris, at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid, battling against the sport’s drivers and teams.

One of the executive producers Hamilton is happy with the progress that the movie is making and was fine with the plain title of the film as well. “There’s not really anything else I can add that I haven’t already said,” he said. “I think Joe and Jerry and the whole crew are so grateful to be here and have been incredibly respectful of this space and have been very, very thoughtful.

“Some people just go out and go about it their own way, but they’ve been really wanting to make sure that the heritage is very much in this movie. And so I think people… You know, the trailer is coming out soon. So I’m looking forward to people seeing that. And what else? The title. I mean, it’s probably… Well, what else are you going to call it? You know, I think it would distract from what the series is, so I like it.”
