Silverstone, United Kingdom – Tecnicar by AMTOG finished a positive and learning weekend in the fifth round of the 2026 Eurocup-3 season at the Silverstone Circuit amid mixed weather. The team scored valuable points in race one to maintain its fifth position in the team’s standings owing to Kacper Sztuka’s brilliant and fearless performance in race one.

Silverstone, a new track to both Eurocup-3, provided a new challenge for Tecnicar by AMTOG. Known for its fast and flowing nature, the track also proved to be highly inviting for on-track battles, something that the team’s trio were able to excel at during the weekend, regardless of the conditions.

A mixed start to the weekend

The only practice session gave the team a big challenge, as without prior testing, Tecnicar by AMTOG only had one short session at their disposal to make the most out of the car-track combination. Nevertheless on Friday morning, Kacper posted an impressive third-best time, as Nacho Tuñón and Benjamin Beckley sought to learn the British venue.

Then the team headed into the two qualifying sessions later that day, which proved to be difficult, as it was still figuring out ways to maximize the package. Kacper once again highlighted the team’s efforts by qualifying 12th and 18th, whilst Nacho steadily improved over both sessions by posting the 25th- and 22nd-best times, whereas Benjamin only partook in the first session.

Race 1: Strong fighting spirit from Sztuka sets the team crucial points

The first of two races at Silverstone started well for Kacper, who firmly established in the fight for the top ten and ran as high as eighth in the first half of the race. The Pole’s valiant efforts were caught by the TV cameras with a few minutes left on the clock after a skillful overtake at the Maggots and Becketts complex en route to a seventh-place finish.

Nacho had a positive comeback from his lowly starting position, with his late-race fighting spirit allowing him to gain four positions and finish just outside of the top 20. Benjamin meanwhile, made quiet progress in his first race at the venue, as he gained a position to finish 27th.

Race 2: Damp conditions prove to be a learning experience for the team

Kacper kept himself out of trouble as the conditions worsened during the race, running as high as 16th and keeping his nose clean to come home in 17th. Nacho had a bright start to the race, moving up to 16th in the opening stages ahead of his teammate, before closely following his experienced teammate to come home 19th. After starting at the back, Benjamin stayed out of trouble in treacherous conditions to finish two places higher than he started to round out a learning weekend for the Costa Rican.

A growing project that continues to strive against opposition

Following a promising weekend at Silverstone, Tecnicar by AMTOG aims to continue establishing itself as a highly-competitive team in its first season in Eurocup-3. Heading into Jerez, the team remains firmly in fifth place in the Teams’ Championship, as it continues extending its advantage over the sixth-placed team. In the Drivers’ Championship, Kacper Sztuka moves up to sixth on 68 points, as he continues to be in contention for a top-five finish in the overall standings with three rounds yet to go.

Statements

Javier Lapeña, Team Principal, Tecnicar by AMTOG: “It was a learning weekend for the team. The little amount of track time and mixed conditions made it difficult for us to have a smooth weekend. Even with that, Kacper showed what the team is capable of with a strong fight for points on Saturday. Nacho showed impressive speed and bravery in the wet on Sunday, as Benjamin keeps taking steps forward. We are confident we will be back on form in Jerez.”

Kacper Sztuka: “It was a tough weekend for us, but I’m happy that we were able to show our speed in race one and prove we are here to fight no matter what. P7 in race one was the highlight of the weekend and I’ll be pushing to achieve the results we deserve in Jerez.”

The next round of the championship will see the team return to Iberia, at Circuito de Jerez, where Tecnicar by AMTOG will aim to return to form in the final stages of the season.
