The Catalan driver did an aero test with Caterham in the French circuit Lurcy Levis, making his first contact with an F1 car.

Canamasas, currently driving for Caterham in GP2, said that he was very happy after this experience: “It’s a moment I’ve been waiting for during my whole career. I’ve had a good feeling inside the F1 car”. The most surprising things for him were the acceleration and the braking, compared to other cars he had driven.

Even though the rain hasn’t allowed the expected program to be completed, Sergio has reached all the goals he had been told. From now on, he has to focus on his GP2 season and hope for Caterham to call him for another test, who knows if it may be the young drivers’ test or even a free practise on an F1 weekend.
