Currently, Sainz is having a challenging season, sitting in 15th place in the drivers’ championship with only six points. In response to questions from his teammate, Alex Albon, Sainz emphasized that, while he would like to achieve success at Le Mans, he is also considering the option of competing in the GT3 category with friends.
“I would like to enjoy motorsport from a different perspective,” said the 31-year-old driver. Sainz has mentioned that his intention would be to engage in competition for pleasure, stepping away from the usual pressure that comes with competing in F1.
