Daniel Ricciardo starts his AlphaTauri journey visiting its Faenza F1 base completing a seat fit ahead of his return in Hungarian GP.

Even though Ricciardo has had a seat fit with AlphaTauri before in reserve capacity, the Australian made an official visit to its Faenza F1 base on Friday in order to prepare for his return in next weekend’s Hungarian GP where he has previously won.

Following the British GP, on the day when Ricciardo drove the Red Bull car in a Pirelli F1 tests, AlphaTauri announced the Australian as a replacement to Nyck de Vries, who lost his seat just after 10 rounds due to lack of results and performance.

Having last raced with Toro Rosso in 2013, Ricciardo makes a return to the Italian-based F1 team midway in the 2023 season. It remains to be seen how the Australian performs in a car which been a handful, even for Yuki Tsunoda and what the future holds.
