The second day of testing at Silverstone also has passed with good weather. This morning we had a red flag caused by Frijns, with the Sauber. Mechanical problems have allowed him to complete only 17 laps. The Dutchman has shared the track with Daniel Ricciardo and his Toro Rosso. The Australian has made the best time of day (1:32.9) before boarding the Red Bull car in the afternoon, when he has caused a red flag due to mechanical problems, despite this he completed 59 laps with a best time of 1:33.1.
Carlos Sainz Jr. has been the fastest in the unofficial scoring with a 1:33.0, less than one tenth of Daniel Ricciardo’s time in the same car (we do not know if it was the same, as the owners can not test new parts). Behind, David Valsecchi has been in the Lotus car all day, completing 91 laps (best time: 133.5). Oliver Turvey has been at the controls of the McLaren, all day as well, completing 96 laps (best time: 1:33.8). James Calado has been in charge of driving the Force India in the morning, with 47 laps and a best time of 1:33.9, a thousandth ahead of Felix da Costa, with the Red Bull, but he was only able to complete 19 laps. At Ferrari, Davide Rigon has driven the car all day, managing to do 97 laps and a best time of 1:34.0, while Nico Hulkenberg with his Sauber has led the afternoon (with a best time of 1:34.2 and 52 laps). In Williams, Pastor Maldonado  (best time: 1:34.1) have suffered a bit in the morning, again with mechanical problems but has completed 71 laps, and in the afternoon Dani Juncadella completed 33 laps. Will Stevens has driven the Caterham all day, completing 96 laps and a best time of 1:36.0, beating Paul di Resta, who did 41 laps in the afternoon with the Force India (1:36.3) and Rodolfo Gonzalez, who also drove all day the Marussia, completing 92 laps and achieving a best time of 1:37.9.
