Marc Márquez has expressed that part of his post-victory obligations are “inhumane” as he continues to fight for his eighth MotoGP World Championship title. The Ducati Team rider has become increasingly vocal about the demands that organizers impose on drivers off the track.

After the sprint race held in Austria, Márquez agreed on the need to better manage his energies. In the last competition, held in Japan, he opted to send a double to a promotional karting race, aiming to focus on his preparation for the main race the next day.

Additionally, after his victory in Indonesia, the rider indicated that the heat conditions on the island of Lombok had added difficulty to his already complex situation. “It is inhumane to have to stand on the podium in a racing suit,” Márquez stated, referring to his need to focus on the performance of the next race.

In the context of a weekend packed with activities, Márquez confirmed that additional time was scheduled for promotional events, such as a mandatory parade for all riders. Although he complained about this additional pressure, he ended his remarks on a conciliatory note: “It’s the norm and we have to accept it, even though there’s always a bit more to do.”
